Refurbished townhouse

This house is set in the heart of Selva, 3 min from the main square. The house was originally built around 1900 and has been reformed from 2006-2008.

The quality of the workmanship in this restoration is first class with an extensive investment made in the treatment of damp, which is always such a problem in old Mallorcan houses. It is totally dry.

As the house is one of 3 houses in a small cul de sac the town hall insists the shared area be paved with stones, creating an esthetical very pleasing external reception area.

This house being very tall has an interesting distribution of its many rooms.

The top floor, with automatically controlled skylights has beautiful wooden panelling on the ceiling between the wooden beams and prides 60 sqm with the staircase opening in the middle of the room. It has its own bathroom.

The next level has one large double bedroom with a bathroom and a single bedroom. This floor opens out on to a 15 sqm terrace with views out up onto the mountains.

The level beneath this has the sitting room, dining area, and kitchen with a door which opens out into the back garden and the swimming pool area.

There is yet another level with a mares stone arched ceiling opening out into a large sitting area.

Both sitting areas have wood burning stoves which have tubes of warm air leading into all other rooms. The entrance area between the first and 2nd levels has an arch from the original construction chiselled out revealing the lovely Mallorcan sandstone.
