This house is located in the quiet urbanization "Mas Pere" in Calonge, at 5 km. from the beaches of San Antonio, Torre Valentina and Palamós. Calonge is a municipality in the comarca of the Baix Empordà on the coastline of the Costa Brava. The town comprises two parts: a medieval hill village and a modern seaside resort. The two parts are connected by GI-660 which leads north through Las Gavarres mountains to La Bisbal d'Empordà.
The main urban center and original village is about 4 km inland from the Bay of Sant Antoni. There, you can visit the towers and walls of Calonge Medieval Castle, one of the biggest fortresses of the region, which date from the 13th century; as well as the outstanding Sant Martí Church and Càlcul Street.
The modern resort of Sant Antoni de Calonge is located on the coast between Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Palamós. Some of the best campsites of the Costa Brava are located here, such as Cala Gogo, Treumal and International Calonge.
The Roman village of Castel Barri is also important. It is one of the largest archaeological sites from the Roman period. There are also many walks you can do around the town, while the good climate and coastal winds make water sports possible all year round at its beaches and hidden coves.
