Very beautiful apartment in Mahon with a 60 sqm terrace and views over the rooftops of the town as far as the harbour

Details:

This very lovely apartment is ready for occupation and is situated in a quiet area in Menorca's capital, only 3 minutes by foot from shops and from the historical part of the town.

It is located on the third, upper floor of a small, well-maintained building offering impressive views over the typical rooftops of Mahon, the harbour, and the beautiful church of Saint Francis of Assisi. Due to its top-floor location the apartment is very bright.

One of the highlights of the property is an adjoining 60 sqm terrace, fitted with sun blinds, charmingly furnished, and even offering a bbq zone. It is accessible from a corridor opposite the entrance and forms one of the main living areas together with a living room, a dining area, and a storage room.
A Mediterranean way of life means that the terrace can be used all year round!

On one side is a bedroom with hot/cold air conditioning, a dressing area and the bathroom with bathtub.
To the other side is beautiful, spacious bedroom with ceiling fan, a room currently used as an office, a playroom with air conditioning, a lovely, fully-equipped kitchen with air conditioning, and a laundry room housed in a small, separate room. The latter 2 rooms were renovated a short time ago.
A floor plan of the property is available if required for further renovation work.

A further advantage is the possibility to fit a lift, as the shaft for this already exists. This would provide easy accessibility for persons with limited mobility.

Truly a really beautiful apartment at a very attractive price, and well worth a visit and a viewing!

Location & surrounding area:

Mahon is the capital of the Spanish Balearic island of Menorca.
The municipality of Mahon has approx. 28.500 residents and was founded by the Carthaginians, and there is a legend that the town was named by a brother of Hannibal.
Its architecture was strongly influenced by many years of English occupation, and the town gate Portal de Sant Roc, built around 1500, is the only remaining entrance in the medieval city walls.
In the narrow, winding alleys of Mahon interesting churches and museums can be found, next to all kinds of businesses.

From the main square Placa de Esplanada the pedestrian zone leads to the fish and vegetable market under the old cloisters of a former monastery. From here there are wonderful views over the harbour of Mahon.

The fjord-like bay (Ria) has a length of 5.5 kms and a width of up to 1.2 kms and is the largest natural harbour on the Mediterranean. Throughout history it has served seagoing nations as a safe base for their fleets.

The harbour of Mahon is the fourth largest natural harbour in the world, and today has become a popular destination for yachts and cruise ships from all over the world.
